Certificate Application Procedures

Admission Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 with the possibility of conditional admission for applicants who do not meet this requirement.
- Minimum TOEFL scores for students whose native language is not English.
Application Procedures
To apply for the GCT Studies Certificate, complete the Graduate School Admissions Application.
**Must use Google Chrome or Firefox browser, not Internet Explorer**
- Click ‘Create an account’; enter email address, name, and birthdate and click ‘Continue’
- On the application, for Campus, Major, Area of Interest, and Degree Objective:
- Select a Campus: West Lafayette (Main Campus)
- Select your proposed graduate major: Educational Studies
- Area of Interest: Gifted Education
- Select a Degree Objective: Gifted/Creative/Talented Education Graduate Certificate
- Finish application and submit
Application Materials
Letters of recommendation are not needed. However, to complete an application file, the Office of Graduate Studies, College of Education, must receive the following in addition to the admission application:
- Official transcripts of grades from all universities attended should be uploaded into the application system
- If current graduate student in another department outside the Department of Educational Studies, upload only an updated Purdue University official transcript and the completed Notice of Dual Form-GS 18 with student signature and Home Department Head signature.
- International Students: Official TOEFL scores (see criteria above)
