Discover, Develop, and Nurture Talent to Reenergize Education

DISCOVER! is a high-quality summer institute in the Midwest for educators committed to gifted education and talent development that integrates components of learning, enjoyment, and relaxation in a collegial atmosphere. DISCOVER! promises to help educators effectively serve gifted and talented children, and to help educators discover and develop talents in all children.

DISCOVER! sessions focus on effective practices and practical strategies that work to help children reach their potentials. Special emphasis is placed on educating the whole child, integrating social and emotional aspects, differentiating curriculum to create optimal individual learning, and effective methods for delivering content in a way that facilitates learning.

DISCOVER! offers a variety of experiences designed for p-12 educators including classroom teachers, gifted education coordinators, teachers of gifted and talented students, curriculum and professional development specialists, administrators, media specialists, school counselors, psychologists and pre-service teachers.

With 30 intensive sessions, 6 special workshops, 3 keynote addresses, various small group meetings, optional excursions to area attractions and ample opportunities to socialize with colleagues and new friends, DISCOVER! has much to offer participants.
